The Emergency Services require access to accurate information when responding to or planning a response to an emergency.
Emergency response personnel can respond to or plan a response much more effectively if they also have the Right information. They may want to know who and how to contact the right people at your site, how many people are there, if there are any special/medical needs people, right down to a site layout diagram so they know where the access points or chemical storage facilities etc are located.
In a large scale emergency e.g. flooding or earthquake, help may be arriving via helicopters from outside of your region so if the GPS (global positioning system) location has been recorded for your site they could find that site with greater accuracy and speed.
Readynet shares all this information with emergency services including Emergency Operations Centres (Civil Defence H.Qs) of participating City / District Councils via the web (with encrypted security) and downloaded electronic copies. This means that even if web access or power is disrupted they have the latest updated copy of your site or groups information.
ALERTS are part of information sharing; these are generally issued via Council Emergency Operations Centres. Alerts are received by text messaging and/or email, they are directed to key people as recorded in the site/group details (wide spread ‘blanket’ texts risk jamming the cellular networks causing significant delays).
Using Readynet, important information can be distributed quickly to the Right people.
